The Sun

The Sun is a national newspaper owned by a company called ‘News international,’ which in turn is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Like the Crawley Observer, the Sun is a vertical company. This means that everything from the writing of to the publication of the newspaper is done within The Suns’ company with little to no outsourcing. The Sun has been producing newspapers since 1963 and since has become the tenth-largest circulation of any newspaper in the world and the largest circulation of any daily newspaper in the United Kingdom.

This is a vertical business as their only focus is their newspaper. The Crawley Observer does everything to make their newspaper; they write it, print it and publish it. This means that they are completely independent of themselves and require little to no help when making their newspaper.
